Time to Spring Clean your CAS account

It’s been a busy few months for the CAS Team. The launch of the new website in December 2021. Joining the team, as Chief Content editor 2 months ago, for me has been a steep learning curve and a realisation of the complexity of the task and the amazing work the team has achieved to get to where we are now, on what I think was a much-needed overhaul. We still have a lot of work to do.

This is where you can help, now is a good time to have a ‘spring-clean’ of your account and have a look at the changes on the website. We would also really welcome your feedback and suggestions of what else you would like to see.

Spring Cleaning your account.

Log in to the website – www.computingatschool.org.uk  Click Login (top righthand corner of the page)

• If you have forgotten your password click the link to reset it

Once you have logged in click on My Profile and click on My Account (big red button).

Here are some things to check

Account Details

• Check your primary email address and change it if you have changed schools for example.
• You can also update your password to something more memorable if you need to.
• You don’t need to change your password if you change your email.
• Don’t forget to click update account details to save any changes

Personal Details

• Check these are correct
• Take the opportunity to decide whether to display your email address on the site so other members can get in touch

Address Details

• This is worth filling out so that the website can recommend any geolocated activity such as events and nearest communities

Profile Details

• Add a little about yourself
• Add a profile picture, we are a good-looking bunch in the CAS community.
• Add any social media connections

Job Details

• Add information about your job, it helps with connecting with other members.

 

Update your Notification preferences

This will improve your user experience with CAS, as it lets us know how we can keep you up to date with CAS activity.

Finally, head over to the Online Community - https://forum.computingatschool.org.uk/  Login in with your details. If you need to change your email address. Click the link on the login page.
