Welcome to CAS Local and Regional Support!

If you’re a teacher interested in making the most of digital technologies in your classroom, you’re in the right place.

CAS regional and local communities give you the chance to connect with supportive colleagues, discover practical resources you can use straight away, and stay up to date with the latest ideas in computing, digital literacy, and emerging areas like AI.

By joining a regional or local community, you’ll:

  • Keep up to date with events and discussions in your area

  • Have a space to ask questions and get advice from local practitioners

  • Connect with colleagues who understand your context

"...I'm extremely grateful for the colleagues who've invested in me and inspired me over the years both locally and through the CAS community: it's been so valuable to learn from experienced colleagues, share ideas and resources and have a network of thoughtful and supportive professionals who have guided and shaped my career..."

 - Pete Dring, Head of Computing, Fulford School, York

Regional Communities

Our regional communities cover the whole of the UK and are designed to connect people not just online, but in person, so you can build genuine relationships and tap into local expertise.

We provide:

  • An online space for collaboration – share ideas, ask questions, and connect with peers in a supportive virtual environment.

  • Links to local services and opportunities – discover training, resources, and initiatives relevant to your region.

  • Face-to-face events – in-person meet-ups, workshops, and networking sessions where you can meet others in your area, exchange experiences, and get practical, hands-on support.

Beyond your Local Area

As well as connecting members locally and regionally, we also bring members together all over the UK based on age group you teach, or topic/theme of interest (such as AI and Physical Computing).
