Selection with Micro:bit

This five-lesson unit supports pupils in Upper Key Stage 2 to explore the concept of selection through hands-on activities using the micro:bit. Learners create programs that respond to inputs and sensor data, using the MakeCode environment to build understanding of key computing ideas like if/then/else, abstraction, and repetition.

The unit includes a full set of teaching materials – lesson plans, slides, activity sheets, and videos – and offers flexible options for teaching, including standalone lessons for introducing physical computing.
