Resources for running an activity themed around building battling robots. We used Cutebot robots from Elecfreaks as a base which were controlled using radio from another micro:bit (We used a joystick:bit by Elecfreaks but you could simply use the tilt functionality as a control method).
You will also need a servo motor (either rotational or positional depending on design).
- Activity Plan outlines a list of tasks children need to complete in order to be successful
- Design Sheet allows them to think about how they want their robot to look and behave
- Controller Guides show code examples for using either a Joystick:bit or Retro Coding Arcade
This is designed to be a fun, extra-curricular activity so no assessment materials have been prepared at this stage. I'll aim to share some example code at a later date.
