Beginner level for Year 7 or 8. This is my first attempt at writing resources as I am not trained in computing. The scheme runs for 6 weeks but can be stretched out for more. Learning objectives and outcomes are included in the student workbook which is used online. We use Microsoft documents but the programs they create cannot be stored online effectively. Students create screen shots of their programs and complete short challenges. There is a special section for Red Nose Day as this was recent and this is why it was placed in lesson 2. This would probably be best taught towards the end of the scheme. The students are enjoying the lessons and particularly loved the graphics window and enjoyed creating the faces. They will create a quiz at the end of the course. Students will write 10 questions for any subject they are studying in school at the moment so it is also cross-curricular. The hope is that their teachers use it in lesson for a short quiz. There are links in the document for students who need extra help and section of further challenges. Lessons are for approximately 1 hour
