This is a description of cool project ideas, technology and resources for using the Wii controller ("Wiimote") as an input device for data collection.

The ideas were stimulated by Martyn Wheeler's "WiiMote Physics". Nintendo's wireless Wii games system uses Bluetooth, so any Wii peripheral can be paired as a Bluetooth wireless device. The Wiimote+ hand controller has x,y,z-accelerometers, an infra-red camera and a gyroscope on board. The bar connected to the Wii system contains a set of LEDs from which the WiiMote+ can calculate position data very accurately
