Supporting Digital T Levels: Free resources and professional support for teachers
A recent CAS webinar explored the free teaching resources, curriculum planning tools and professional networks available to support teachers delivering Digital T Levels.
The CAS online webinar, held on 15 October 2026, welcomed Charlie Moss, Head of Further Education and Curriculum Support at the Gatsby Charitable Foundation, and Debbie Eacott, Digital T Level Lead and Specialist Advanced Practitioner at South Hampshire College Group.
The session introduced Gatsby's Technical Education Networks (TEN) programme, which helps teachers deliver high-quality technical education through industry-informed resources and collaboration.
Free resources to support teaching
Charlie demonstrated the range of free teaching materials available through TEN, developed with input from teachers, employers, subject specialists and awarding bodies.
Resources include lesson plans, presentations, worksheets, videos and assessment activities, with a particular focus on topics that teachers find challenging to deliver.
The webinar highlighted resources supporting computational thinking and the employer-set project, alongside curriculum models developed collaboratively by 39 Digital T Level providers.
These models offer different approaches to curriculum sequencing, helping teachers plan the delivery of core content, occupational specialisms and industry placements.
Debbie shared her experiences of using the materials with students, particularly the computational thinking resources. She explained how combining short videos, worksheets and practical activities helped students move beyond understanding concepts towards applying their knowledge in assessment questions.
Learning through professional networks
Another key feature of TEN is its communities of practice, which bring together T Level teachers from across the country to share experiences, discuss challenges and develop practical solutions.
Debbie emphasised their value in helping teachers exchange ideas, improve their teaching and reduce the time spent developing resources independently.
The programme also offers curriculum design groups and workshops for providers new to delivering T Levels.
For CAS members involved in post-16 computing education, these resources and networks provide opportunities to strengthen curriculum planning, connect classroom learning with industry practice and learn from colleagues delivering similar qualifications.
All TEN teaching resources and professional development opportunities are free to access, with no website login required.
