Schools are playing an increasingly important role in keeping children safe online.

But many of the risks pupils face today do not start, or end, in school.
They follow children home, onto personal devices, and into spaces where schools have limited visibility.

At the same time, staff are under growing pressure to respond to safeguarding concerns, while parents often feel unsure how to support their children effectively.

CyberSafe Coach has been developed to help bridge that gap.

A Whole-Community Approach to Online Safety

CyberSafe Coach is designed to support schools by extending online safety beyond the classroom and into the home.

Rather than adding complexity, the focus is on providing simple, practical guidance that can be used consistently by staff, pupils, and families.

Supporting Staff

For teachers and safeguarding leads, time and clarity are critical.

CyberSafe Coach provides:

  • Clear, practical guidance on common online risks
  • Simple ways to respond to incidents and concerns
  • Ready-to-use resources that can be shared with parents
  • A consistent framework to support safeguarding conversations

This helps reduce the need to create materials from scratch and supports a more joined-up approach.

Supporting Pupils

Pupils benefit most from guidance that is clear, relatable, and easy to act on.

CyberSafe Coach helps young people to:

  • Understand real-world online risks in an age-appropriate way
  • Build positive digital habits
  • Recognise when something is not right
  • Feel confident seeking support

The focus is on awareness and confidence, rather than fear-based messaging.

Supporting Parents and Families

One of the biggest challenges schools face is engaging parents in online safety.

Many parents want to help, but are unsure where to start.

CyberSafe Coach provides:

  • Simple, jargon-free guidance
  • Step-by-step support for common scenarios
  • Ongoing access to practical advice
  • A consistent message that aligns with school safeguarding approaches

This creates stronger alignment between school and home, which is key to long-term impact.

Flexible and Easy to Use

CyberSafe Coach is designed to sit alongside existing safeguarding and digital literacy provision.

It can be used as:

  • A supporting resource for safeguarding leads
  • A tool for parent engagement
  • Part of PSHE or computing delivery
  • An additional layer alongside existing frameworks

There is no disruption to current systems, only added support.

Our Social Mission

CyberSafe Coach is supported by the CyberSafe Foundation, a Community Interest Company focused on improving online safety awareness for individuals, families, and vulnerable groups.

This allows us to work closely with schools and communities, ensuring support is accessible where it is needed most.

Pilot Opportunities for Schools

We are currently offering a small number of pilot opportunities for schools.

These pilots are designed to:

  • Support staff with practical safeguarding resources
  • Improve parent engagement in online safety
  • Provide structured, easy-to-use guidance for pupils and families
  • Gather feedback to continue improving the platform

Schools involved in the pilot will have the opportunity to shape how CyberSafe Coach develops in an education setting.
