Hi all,

I've just launched a free six-lesson series on AI and machine learning ethics over at CodeBash. The series is called Understanding AI and covers the topics that students often find abstract and hard to engage with:

  • What is AI and how does it learn?
  • Bias and fairness in training data
  • Facial recognition and surveillance
  • AI in healthcare
  • Large language models
  • The future of autonomous systems

Each lesson is self-contained with explanations, worked examples, and a student worksheet you can download as a PDF. There's also an exam practice section with eight extended-response questions that mirror the style of questions appearing at GCSE and A-Level - complete with a mark scheme teachers can use.

No login required for any of it.

What's coming: This series is the first piece of a much bigger theory platform that mirrors what CodeBash already does on the programming side. The roadmap includes a full student login portal, structured theory lessons across the entire GCSE and A-Level CS specification, and questions with tracked answers so students can work through content independently and teachers can see progress. The idea is that the programming and theory sides sit together in one place - students aren't bouncing between tools and platforms depending on what they're revising.

The series is at https://www.codebash.co.uk/theory/ai - would love to know what you think. Enjoy!
