BCS Foundation Announces 2026 TCS London Marathon Runners

We’re proud to introduce two dedicated runners who will be taking on the 2026 TCS London Marathon in aid of The BCS Foundation, raising vital funds to help create a more inclusive digital future for young people across the UK.

Meet our runners

Shelley Decker

A familiar face within BCS, Shelley leads our Legal, Compliance & Governance teams. Now, she’s taking to the marathon course.

Why Shelley is running:

“I am so excited to be running the London Marathon, my first ever marathon, in support of the BCS Foundation – and fundraising to help create a future where every young person can thrive in our digital world. Every mile I run – and every pound raised – will help the BCS Foundation provide digital access, skills and opportunities to young people who might otherwise be left behind. Your support will directly contribute to opening doors, building confidence, and creating brighter futures in an increasingly digital society.”

Pralay Bajaria

Pralay works for The Trade Desk, one of The BCS Foundation’s key partners, and his commitment to digital inclusion has fuelled his marathon journey.

Pralay shares:

“Training has been a huge challenge, but knowing that every mile I run helps support digital education, inclusion, and future talent keeps me pushing forward. If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, it would mean the world to me and to the people whose lives are changed by The BCS Foundation’s work. Thank you so much for your support – and for helping me make every step count!”

Why their support is so vital

By choosing to run for The BCS Foundation, Shelley and Pralay are helping fund programmes that creates career opportunities for all young people, no matter their background or circumstance by providing:

·         Personal coaching and career guidance

·         Industry connections and real world insight

·         Encouragement and confidence needed for young people to take their first steps into the tech sector

Their commitment supports individuals who aspire to careers in technology but may not have access to the resources, networks or connections needed to take that first step.

With your support, The BCS Foundation can continue providing free access to skills training, coaching, industry connections and bursaries. Every donation helps remove barriers and opens equitable pathways into tech for underrepresented young people.

Our mission is simple: remove barriers and open opportunities for young people from all backgrounds to explore and build futures in tech.
