We are pleased to announce the London University Sixth Form Conference. The conference will be held at UCL East (1 Pool Street Stratford London E20 2AF) on Thursday June 19th 2025.

This event is for 6th form students and their teachers where the students are taking A level computer science or some computing equivalent. We have a limited number of spaces - @150 students - so we figure about 10-15 teachers.

There will be a timetable of hands on sessions and workshops for students and professional development sessions for the teachers who are bringing their students along.

Student sessions include

  • Computer Science escape room (UCL)
  • The Illusion of Good Software Design (QUML)
  • Exploring computing concepts and how it drives the digital security era. (Roehampton)
  • A Game of Nim: the Computer Science of Decision Making (Imperial)

And more will be added!

A keynote will be presented by Professor Steve Hailes.

Students should bring their own packed lunches.

There will be photography throughout the event. We kindly ask that you collect photo consent from students prior to the event.

Please let us know of any accessibility requirements for you or your students so we can make the necessary arrangements in advance. For health and safety reasons, we ask that you provide a full list of names of all participants attending the event.

In summary, when you sign up as a teacher, please email us (jane.waite@raspberrypi.org) with-
1. The number of students you will bring along
2. Their names (for health and safety/fire regulations)
3. Any accessibility requirements for you and your students.
4. Confirmation that they can have photos taken. (If they can't be photographed, that is fine, but please let us know before the event).

Teacher sessions will focus on the topic of AI,  Machine Learning and Data Science

For example, thinking about what we might teach and how

Dr. Igor Gaponov will present about AI and Robotics and we are organising other sessions too.

Many thanks
