We are joined by Nikki Dibben from the University of Sheffield and Sam Aaron, creator of Sonic Pi to discuss their latest project that aims to address the critical shortage and lack of diversity of secondary school pupils engaging in computer science: In collaboration with Dr. Sam Aaron, we have developed "Bleep," a web-based coding platform that builds on Sonic Pi's live music coding to foster engagement in computer science and music education. Unlike Sonic Pi, Bleep focuses on artist-specific tracks, allowing students to recreate and experiment with music while learning coding principles.
There will also be time for networking with colleagues.
