Influencing the influential: Children and Social Media

During this session, the outcomes of a study into KS2 children’s use of Social Media will be shared to enlighten teachers, and those working with children and teens, and to provide strategies for how we can best equip and prepare our young people for navigating the digital world. 

Tried-and-tested lesson plans and materials suited to P7 pupils will be provided. These lessons aim to support children in becoming critical thinkers who can judge what they see online. We don’t only want our emerging social media users to be able to dodge the dangers; we want them to harness the positive opportunities online and wish to aid them in leading safe and healthy digital lives.
