Barefoot Early Years Workshop

Designed to boost subject knowledge and confidence, this workshop will introduce you to computational thinking in the Early Years and help you get started with Barefoot.

During the online interactive session, you will give some of Barefoot’s Early Years activities a try and see how computational thinking links with the Early Years framework. You’ll also be introduced to the Barefoot website and our fantastic range of resources designed especially for Early Years.

This workshop will be delivered by Dr Jon Chippindall who has over 10 years experience teaching in primary schools. He currently teaches and leads computing at a large primary school in Greater Manchester. Jon is Director of the BCS Barefoot programme as well leading the Computing PGCE at The University of Manchester. Jon has worked with schools both nationally and internationally to develop computing provision, and has contributed to a number of books on computing education.
