SEND in computing & Progression in Primary Computer Science
Local Community
Face to Face
Having recently achieved the computing quality mark our computing education has shown that we are consistently providing a high-quality computing education for all our pupils and we thought it would be a good opportunity to share this with others.
Computing as a subject can be presented with a number of challenges when teaching children with SEND and who have EAL. At this meeting, we will discuss and share strategies to ensure that ALL children are accessing a high quality and ambitious computing education.
Additionally, we will also explore tools and apps that can support children with SEND and EAL across the curriculum as technology can also provide endless opportunities to ensure that all education is equitable.
Lastly, we will look at the progression of computer science from Reception to year 6 and what this looks like in the Primary Classroom again ensuring access for ALL children.
