Barefoot Computational Thinking Workshop
Our original workshop is Computational Thinking and is aimed at primary school teachers, teaching children 5 years to 11 years of age. Designed to boost subject knowledge and confidence, this interactive workshop will provide the perfect introduction to computational thinking and support you to get started with Barefoot. We’ll give you a tour of the Barefoot website and resources, and you will give some of Barefoot’s “unplugged” activities a try – proving you don’t need expensive kit to teach computing.
Programming with Scratch Workshop
Take your knowledge to the next level with this interactive CPD workshop. Get to grips with Scratch programming and the concepts of sequence, selection and repetition through a series of Scratch activities. This workshop is best placed for beginners and intermediate Scratch users and we recommend you completing the Computational Thinking workshop first, unless you are already familiar with Computational Thinking concepts and approaches.
Barefoot Early Years Workshop
This workshop will introduce you to computational thinking in the Early Years and help you get started with Barefoot. During the online interactive session, you will give some of Barefoot’s Early Years activities a try and see how computational thinking links with the Early Years framework. You’ll also be introduced to the Barefoot website and our fantastic range of resources designed especially for Early Years.

Go to the Workshops tab and simply click on the link for which session you’d like to join, closer to the time of the workshop, we will send you an email with full joining details containing the video conference meeting link.
