This workshop will cover the BCS Robotics Lev 1 Course in full.

The course uses the micro:bit and a low-cost robot and leads to Level 1 certification for students. The course is suitable for KS2 - KS 4 students. This workshop is aimed at allowing educators to see the materials in action.

Suitable for Computing Educators at KS2-KS4
Beginners and newbies welcome.

This workshop will:-

  • Give you experience in using the micro:bit
  • How to deliver a unit of work on Robotics
  • How to create a real-world experience in computing for your students 
  • How these materials can be used as a unit of work to meet your computing curriculum

Attendees will need to bring a USB-enabled laptop and power supply.

All Attendees will be offered the opportunity to receive free accreditation 

We will also explore how Robotics can be linked to the Teach Computing Curriculum for KS 2-3, how the BCS Level 1 Robotics Qualification can be used across KS 2 and 3 (and higher) to help students understand the connection between their learning and a career in the field of AI and Robotics.
