A new virtual community (as opposed to being geographically focused) to bring together a community of teachers who are interested in how to support and engage learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities with Computing. This isn't just for teachers in special schools or integrated resources, although it will be of particular relevance) - it is for any teacher or educator who works with students with SEND (hint: that's pretty much everyone). Our meetings will happen at least once a term, and be virtual. I'll post up something soon about the first one: please join the community to be kept informed.

Hello everyone,
We’re delighted to let you know that our new CAS Inclusion Community is now open! This new space will replace the current SEND community and will become the central hub for discussions, resources, and support focused on inclusion across computing education.
You can join the new community here:
CAS Inclusion Community: CAS Inclusion Community
All specialist inclusion resources, blogs, and materials that you’ve previously accessed through Include are now available here:
Inclusion Resources & Blog Hub: Inclusion
These are also directly accessible from the new community page for ease of use.
We’re excited to continue building a supportive, inclusive space with you. Thank you for being part of this community, and we look forward to seeing you in the new group!
Hi Everyone,
We need your help to make coding accessible for young people.
We’re inviting young people and educators, parents, and carers to share their experience using the Microsoft MakeCode editor, which is used to code the micro:bit. Your valuable input will help us better understand the barriers and frustrations that exist and help develop potential solutions.
You don’t need any experience of MakeCode and the survey takes just 10 minutes.
We want to hear from:
• Young learners with disabilities that affect how they use a computer
• Educators, parents, or carers of students with these accessibility needs
We are especially interested in learning about experiences from:
• Learners with visual impairments who may use screen readers, magnifiers, or other adaptations
• Learners with dexterity impairments who find using a mouse or trackpad challenging, this includes those who use:
• Switches
• Eye gaze
• Voice control
• Keyboard-only navigation
