The CAS Regional Centre for Northern Ireland is based at Stranmillis University College in Belfast. Staff members Irene Bell and Ann O'Neill have worked to create awareness of the importance of computing to our pupils and develop a collegiate network between industry, education and government. We work closely with our colleagues from QUB Dept of Computer Science, School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science ensuring that teachers are offered quality support in their CS journey.
Thanks to a Google Educator Grant 42 of our teachers in Northern Ireland, from both Primary and Secondary, will be undertaking the BCS Certificate in Computer Science Teaching. We are really excited to see and hear about their work and look forward to them sharing with us in the future. We wish them all the best as they start their courses.
