Volunteers' Week 2021 - 1st – 7th June
Volunteers Week is an annual celebration of the contribution millions of people make across the UK through volunteering.
Computing at School is a remarkable phenomenon, a genuine community of people who care deeply about computing education, who collaborate, share ideas, create professional development opportunities, enhance subject knowledge, and nurture one another.
With nearly 350 active local communities across the country, CAS is the largest network of computing educators and supporters in the UK, and has impact at national policy level, with international visibility.
CAS is a gift economy; members do not subscribe to get services; instead we contribute our insights freely, and freely share those of others.
None of this would be possible without our army of volunteers and their commitment to the CAS mission that every child, in every school, has access to a world class computing education.
We will be celebrating some of our champions throughout National Volunteers Week and we would like you to do the same. To recognise your #CASHero, simply share a post on any of the social media platforms, @mention CAS and include the #CASHero hashtag. We can’t wait to hear what’s going on in your communities and the wonderful people you’re working with.
All of the nominated #CASHeros will also receive certificates in recognition, and as a thank you from us, for all that they do.
