We’re expanding - can you help CAS to grow?
CAS is looking to establish new CAS Communities in locations across England and we’re looking for new CAS Community leaders to join our team.
Are you a primary or secondary school teacher working in any of the areas listed below? Would you like to get involved and support teachers to improve computer education, share skills and ideas?
We have more than 260 thriving CAS Communities, led by CAS Community leaders across England and we want to make sure more teachers have the opportunity to get involved.
Our volunteer CAS leaders and the CAS Communities form the foundation of much of our work and are run by teachers, for teachers.
CAS meetings, which are currently being held online, give teachers the opportunity to meet in a relaxed atmosphere, share resources, receive informal training and gain mutual support.
The meetings often include guest speakers with support from universities, industry, local employers and further education.
"CAS Communities are the essence of CAS and an important part of the personal learning network for computing teachers. I say this from my own experience of setting up and running a CAS community when I was teaching. For me CAS made a great difference to my practice. The experience allowed me to meet other teachers in my local area informally and to understand how other schools worked, to learn what was new in computing, to share experiences and resources,” said Beverly Clarke, National Community Manager for CAS.
If you’re a teacher in one of these areas listed below, and would like to find out more about becoming a CAS Community leader, get in touch here.
