Have your students discovered our Careers Inspiration webinars? These free, interactive live sessions are full of inspiration for your students about where computing can lead; whether that’s creating apps, engineering for Xbox, or defending against cyber-attacks.
Olivia Wolfheart, BCS membership engagement manager, explains more…
Over the last few weeks BCS has been hosting a series of live webinars, Careers Inspiration.
The aim is to help young people find out about a variety of technology-based careers and to demystify the world of work.
We’d really appreciate your help in publicising this to your students in Year 10 and 11 to help with their career choices. Due to the current circumstances young people will be missing out on activities such as careers fairs and work experience, so we wanted to provide some information to help fill that gap.
We have been sitting down app designers, cyber security apprentices and virtual reality games designers to find out what is involved in their jobs day-to-day, hear about some of the exciting projects they are working on, what they love most about their jobs and any advice they would give to young people interested in a similar career path.
As the sessions are broadcast ‘live’, and young people can put their own questions forward to the guest. Over the next few weeks, we have some great guests lined up, please do share these with your students – click on links to join up!
