This is Engineering (TIE) is run by The Royal Academy of Engineering, and is a multi-year campaign aimed at secondary school children, their teachers, parents, and careers advisers.
The site presents a positive image of modern engineering, by using real young engineers, and showing how engineering sits behind many of the things young people are already interested in- sport, fashion and tech. So far, since the launch in January, the five videos on the site have had over 10 million hits, and the campaign organisers are now looking for the next round of eight people, aged 18-30, to help inspire the next generation of engineers.
