The HiPEAC Conference covers advances in many areas of computing and is held in Manchester early next year (January 22-24) in the Central Convention Centre (formerly the GMex Centre).
School teachers are invited to take part free of charge, either to attend the keynote talks or specific activities for school teachers during the conference. This is a great opportunity to get ideas of where computing is going and what are the major problems being tackled, which can usefully inform your teaching. You will also have the opportunity of networking with Computer Scientists from around the world. Keynote speakers are from Google DeepMind, CERNopenlab and Qualcomm. University of Manchester staff are co-organizing the conference and Steve Furber has been interviewed for the HiPEAC magazine, which will be distributed at the event.
