Registration now open - Plymouth Festival of Computing

Registration is now open for the 2022 Plymouth Festival of Computing! It takes place on Friday 18 March 2022 at the University of Plymouth and is a collaboration between the University of Plymouth and Computing at School. Teachers with have the opportunity to get inspiration and network with colleagues in the South West at this hybrid, three track event.

This year’s Festival theme is diversity and inclusion. Keynote speakers will be talking about Women in Tech, equality, diversity and SEND, and these sessions will be available to join remotely or face-to-face.

View and download the full agenda, which includes details about our speakers here.

There will be 3 tracks for the in-person workshops – one each for primary teachers, secondary teachers, and GCSE/A-Level students. In addition, teachers will hear from Barefoot, the EdTech Demonstrator schools and National Centre for Computing Education (NCCE) hubs.

As well as enjoying the keynote speeches, students will be invited to join a session focusing on AI, diversity, and inclusion in computing, consider careers in tech and hear from Plymouth University student alumni. There will be stands to visit including NCCE and CyberFirst Schools and refreshments available.

The day will run from 9:15 am – 4.00 pm and finish with a CAS conference community meeting. This is a TeachMeet Style chance to share top tips and resources.

We look forward to meeting you there!
