This is an analogy which is not uncommonly used to teach the principles of the TCP/IP stack. Animated in a PowerPoint to (hopefully) help the process of understanding along. Like all analogies it is flawed but it should help! The worksheet accompanying is to give a flavour of the various protocols associated with each layer.
