This week on CAS TV Miles talks with Google software engineer Matthew Inwood about the fundamental concept of how a computer works.
With direct and engaging concepts, Matthew helps to clearly illustrate and unpack a range of issues around how computers actually do work and how this might be used to aid pupil’s understanding. This is an excellent starting point if you would like to know a little more about the processes that happen inside of a computer when code is run. Along with this, they also look how abstraction plays a large role in our understanding of how computers work, how this abstraction is used in programming computers and how this important area might be covered in the classroom.
