The national working group have committed themselves to the following projects:
- Network of teacher support groups - the hubs. Connecting teachers together within their local communities where support, resources and training can be provided within a relaxed and friendly environment.
- Online community to support the work of the hubs - The online version of the offline communities! This is under construction.
- Body of Knowledge for Computing at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5. What would the curriculum be for Computing, assuming it was available from Key Stage 3 onwards? What is the progression from one stage to the next?
- Sample Programming Activities at KS3.
- Summer Conference for teachers July2010 An opportunity for specialist teachers of ICT and Computing to meet away from their classrooms and both hear presentations from key resources providers as well as have a go themselves! We are delighted that Matthew MacLaurin, the chief developer of the KODU project has agreed to speak and run workshops at the conference in July. At the heart of the conference will be a special poster exhibition and mini-presentations given by teachers from around the country. Come and learn from their experience. Why not have a stand for your school?
