CAS run a series of monthly Teachshares. A TeachShare is an event in Vital's Elluminate Live! system - it could be a meeting, a discussion, a presentation, or simply someone showing you how to do something interesting in your classroom.
Elluminate Live! is a video and audio conferencing system. It allows you to talk with other people, and share a whiteboard or watch what someone is doing on their own computer.
Instructions for using the software and accessing the Teachshares is given here.

- Before trying to listen to a live session or one of the recordings it is a good idea to try linking to the "getting started" web site (for first time users). Try going to step 2, and run the configuration room. (You may need an extension to Java). On linux, Firefox says it needs permission to launch "Iced tea web start" on a file called "meeting.jnlp". Just accept. You may have to accept a certificate. When first used it has to download a lot of files and depending on your internet connection speed it may take a minute or more to start. Once it has started, go to the 'tools' button on top left, then audio then wizard, to check out audio. You can't do much more in the configuration room, though you may be able to chat to other testers who are logged in. Exit via file -> exit.
- To presenters: If you want to give a live demo of some program running, instead of only showing slides, you can choose Tools -> Applicaton sharing (but that has to be approved by the moderator). But because people have different sized screens it is a good idea for the presenter to check during the presentation that everyone can see the whole of what is meant to be presented.
- When connected, whether you are listening or presenting the connection can sometimes drop for a few seconds and then automatically restart.
